Meal, music and fun raffle at event for good cause
A great night was had by all at the fund-raising dinner organised by Lee Walker in aid of Tyneside and Northumberland Mind, Coun Jack Gebhard's chosen charity for his year as Morpeth Mayor.
A total of 90 diners enjoyed a delicious meal at the Primo Piano Italian restaurant in Newmarket, accompanied by jazz music from a group of talented young musicians who attend King Edward VI School.
The event, which raised £1,400, also included a ‘snatch’ raffle – a fun activity where choice prizes are snatched away from winners by successive ticket holders.
The most popular prize was a magnum of prosecco, which changed hands many times.
