HEPSCOTT WI

Members of Hepscott WI enjoyed an entertaining evening with contemporary romantic novelist Daisy James.

Daisy began by leading us through the stages of writing a novel to its final publication, from developing the characters and swift flowing plot lines to a happy ending.

She admitted that in visualising her heroes it always seems to be George Clooney who springs to mind.

In her latest novel, to be published in May, members may recognise WI Adviser Jenny McLean, who won a competition to appear as a character.

Daisy read an extract from her recent book If The Dress Fits, and answered the many questions asked by her audience.

She ended her talk by leading us through a fun literary bingo game based on her own version of Cinderella and featuring a lot of numbers.

On Tuesday, Dr Ray Lowry, retired doctor, dentist and comedy script writer, provided rib-tickling laughter connected with Funny Bones And Wisdom Teeth.
