Morpeth Town will make another attempt to write their names into the record books when they stage their FA Vase quarter-final tie against Bristol Manor Farm at their Craik Park ground this weekend.
The original clash between the sides, which was planned for Saturday past, was postponed on Friday becausem the surface was deemed unplayable.
Now the teams are due to clash this Saturday (Saturday, February 27) with a 3pm kick-off.
And the winners know they have a glorious chance of going on to reach the final at Wembley, as Monday’s semi-final draw paired favourites Hereford and Salisbury, with Morpeth or Bristol Manor going on to face the winners of FC Bowers & Pitsea and Kidlington in the last four.
The semi-finals are two-legged, with ties due to be played on March 12 and 19.
Town, who are tryng to reach the semi-finals for the first time in their history, are currently lying third in the bookies rankings for the tournament, with Hereford and Salisbury ahead of them.
The favourites, Hereford, defeated Camberley on Saturday in front of a 4,000 crowd, whilst Salisbury saw off the challenge of Ashton in front of 1,700.
