A new mosaic which celebrates the centenary of Cub Scouts has been unveiled at a Morpeth garden as part of its summer fete.
The Old Bakehouse Millennium Green held its annual garden fete at the beginning of the month.
The event was opened by the town’s new mayor, Coun Andrew Tebbutt, who also unveiled a new mosaic in the Green made by artist Julie Smith, from Amble.
The mosaic celebrates the Centenary of the Cub Scouts and depicts various activities and motifs of the Scouting movement, based on designs provided by the 6th Morpeth Scouts, Cubs, and Beavers.
Commemorative plaques made by Julie were presented to those whose designs had been incorporated in the mosaic.
The fete was attended by a large number of people from Morpeth and farther afield, some discovering the area for the first time and with all enjoying the variety of stalls, games and refreshments.
