NATURAL: Great to be in the outdoors
The sentence: 'Children who learn to love nature at an early age will always enjoy being out of doors.' Morpeth Herald, August 18, page 29, has prompted me to write to encourage parents of children aged around '11¾' to consider becoming naturists.
A large part of naturism is the enjoyment of social nudity but there are other factors involved beside not wearing any clothes.
Over 20 years ago, my late wife and I took our two granddaughters, who were then the age mentioned, to swim with us in a naturist group. The pursuit was greatly enjoyed along with other children of both genders.
This confirms the first sentence of the Herald page to which I refer.
However, I recently met with the parents of an eight-year-old girl who were trying naturism for the first time.
The mother commented that the club site was ideal to allow “the children to be natural and almost run wild” in the 10 acres of grass and woodland allowing parents to swim, relax and unwind.
Does this not confirm that which both the Herald writer and I are advocating to get children out of doors, putting computers away, and give them an interest in all things natural.
