Andy Cairns and Jenny Browne have opened The Doggy Day Care Centre in Pegswood.

Since then, more than 100 canines have been brought along to The Doggy Day Care Centre, which is located at the Pegswood Industrial Estate.

The owners, Andy Cairns and Jenny Browne, decided to start the business after tiring of juggling work, children and their own three dogs and two horses.

They also wanted to create something different that would help others in a similar position.

The centre has an indoor agility course, pamper area, play area including a ball pit, swing and play house, as well as a specially designed comfy sleeping area.

Dogs can be booked in for half days, full days – both options include a walk – or even by the hour. All staff are fully trained in pet first aid.

Andy and Jenny said: “We would not have been able to get this far without the help of some amazing people.

“From our fantastic joiner and the local Vets4Pets to all our family and friends who have helped make our dream business a reality, thank you.”

Open days are taking place each Saturday for the next few weeks between 10am and 2pm so dog owners can get a taste of what the centre has to offer.
