CHANGES have been made to a couple of tea-time train services in Northumberland.
As part of its annual timetable alterations, Northern Rail has extended the 5.29pm MetroCentre-to-Morpeth service to Chathill and the 5.01pm MetroCentre-to-Chathill now terminates at Morpeth.
This allows a train from Morpeth to return to Newcastle at 5.48pm, providing a new peak-time commuter service.
Passengers disembarking in the evening at Pegswood and Widdrington stations will be doing so about 25 minutes later than before. Times are now around 6.05pm and 6.10pm respectively.
The changes came into effect on Monday.
