Time is running out for residents to submit their response to the draft Morpeth Neighbourhood Plan.
The consultation on the people’s document for the plan area, which also includes Hebron, Hepscott, Mitford and Pegswood, finishes on Wednesday.
It sets out how it will aim to play its part in strengthening Morpeth’s role as a rural service centre and look to accommodate future growth whilst protecting the town’s integrity and its green approaches.
Morpeth Mayor Nic Best said about 320 people have had their say so far and 80 per cent of them have submitted written comments alongside the survey responses.
“We hope to get more responses in the final few days, particularly from the 20-35 age group,” he added.
“It’s important to realise that the Neighbourhood Plan is being prepared by town councillors and local volunteers. It is your plan.”
The document is available online at www.themorpethneighbourhoodplan.org.uk and information about it is available in the Town Hall.
