#PethRevisited is a no entry fee, organised Old Skool-themed bar hop event, followed by a 450-capacity nightclub-style after party, to be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019.

Organiser Rachael Hogg said: “I was out in Morpeth with a friend on a Thursday night and we were two of only four people in a bar at 10pm.

“I couldn’t stop thinking about how tragic things have become compared to Morpeth’s amazing nights out of old.

“I posted a nostalgic post on popular Facebook group Morpeth Matters and the interest it generated was huge.

“I then decided to create a Facebook group (now called #PethRevisited) for anyone interested in recreating an Old Skool night out and the response was phenomenal – we got more than 2,000 members in only three days.”

Within 24 hours, six of Morpeth’s bar venues were contacted and were delighted to get on board with the idea.

A committee was assembled and when 450 #PethRevisited after party tickets went on sale online last Thursday, November 8, they sold out in less than 15 minutes.

The ‘one night only’ event will have 90s/00s music with live DJs, all night ‘back in the day’ drinks promotions and late opening for those who were unable to get tickets to the after party.

The New Riverside Lodge is hosting the after party. It will transform its function room into a M2-themed nightclub for one night only. The other #PethRevisited venues include The Waterford Lodge, Beau Monde, Black Bull, Tap and Spile and The White Swan.
