Peace at last from flood work

Businesses have been thanked for their patience during flood work disruption.

As recently reported in the Herald, work has finished on the construction of a new flood wall at Morpeth Chantry and the peace garden has been restored.

The Environment Agency hopes trade will now improve for businesses there.

Community Liaison Officer Helen Newsome said: “We would like to thank the businesses around the Chantry for their patience and understanding over the last year. We hope the garden attracts even more visitors to the Chantry and all the businesses located there.”
