and live on Freeview channel 276
The Alnwick-based community radio station has been unable to broadcast from its studios during these troubling times, but presenters are turning to alternative means to stay on the air.
With presenters unable to leave their homes, shows are being pre-recorded with a variety of technology.

Community bulletins are being updated hourly, covering council announcements, government advice and local events and information.
It’s a valuable community service during these times, especially for those for whom internet access is difficult.
With many radio stations operating with pre-chosen or automated playlists, it’s now hard to find one which puts the community at the heart of what it does. But that’s exactly what Lionheart Radio is doing in Alnwick.

“I’m very pleased that we’ve been able to keep so many shows on the air, with more coming every day.
“These are tough times for everyone across our community so it’s vital for us to keep people informed and keep their spirits up.
“We’ve just concluded out annual fundraising and have been delighted with the support from the community, so we must do our bit to support them.”

“It’s a little bit odd making shows from a distance, but with some technical wizardry we have managed to get on.
“Hopefully we won’t have to do this for too long, but I’ve enjoyed the challenge.”
As a community station, Lionheart receives no funding from government sources and is financed through public donations and grants. Everyone at the station is a volunteer.
