The club believes that a total of 10,000 books looks very realistic.

Sorting the books into categories is a massive task, mainly undertaken by friend of the club Stan Eke with assistance from Morpeth Lions Vice President Peter Crook and his wife Janice.

The sale will take place from Friday, September 20 to Sunday, September 22 between 10am and 4pm.

Books are still welcomed – particularly paperbacks – so if any reader has some to spare, please call sale organiser, Lion Les Sage, on 07952 816061. Those willing to volunteer for staffing stalls, two-hour stints, are asked to call Les to make arrangements.
