Cooking for the community

Andrea Blakelock and her partner Kevin Elliott, who hold the Morpeth Masonic Hall franchise for the catering and bar services, have been providing meals to support those who are self-isolating.

She and her team prepare and cook the meals and deliver them to residents in and around the Morpeth area, sometimes linking up with the Morrisons community team.

As well as care homes, there have been deliveries of the freshly cooked food to the emergency services at Morpeth Ambulance Station and Pegswood Fire Station to say thank you for the amazing job they are doing in these challenging times.

Orders are being taken for freshly cooked meals – including pies, quiche, pastries etc. The portions come in all sizes, from large family size to individual portions.

Andrea said: “I really miss all the Freemasons and the Masonic meetings that have been suspended due to Covid-19, but I’m just so pleased I’m able to support the local community and emergency key workers in and around Morpeth in these difficult times.”
