As usual, the Lions Club offered local charities and organisations the chance to raise funds, which this year for them totalled more than £4,000.

Tickets and prizes were provided and all the 34 organisations involved had to do was sell the tickets.

This year, the winning numbers were drawn by independent scrutineer Mike Barry at Morpeth Conservative Club.

Lions President Les Brindley thanked Mr Barry and also Lion Mike Nicholson for again organising it and getting great prizes, kindly donated by local businesses and individuals.

Details of the winning numbers are available on the club’s Facebook page and its website – www.morpethlions.org
