The Freemasons of Northumberland welcomed Mayor of Morpeth, Alison Byard, to a special presentation where they presented a cheque.

The presentation took place at Newminster Lodge in Morpeth, in honour of Northumbria Blood Bikes, the Mayor’s chosen charity of the year.

The Mayor made Northumbria Blood Bikes her charity of 2019/20 after hearing about the work that the unpaid Blood Bikers do out of hours to transport vital blood supplies, organs and documents across the region.

The evening at the Masonic Hall featured a presentation about the work of the Blood Bikers.

A cheque for £300 was then handed over to the Mayor for her charity.
