The Freemasons of Northumberland have presented the Northumberland Chapter of the Widows Sons Masonic Bikers Association with a portable defibrillator.

Tom Stewart, secretary of the association said: “We ride many hundreds of miles across the county each year and we have attended events such as Morpeth Town Fair.

“We have a number of our members who are first aid trained and wherever the bikes go, the defib will go too. We are very grateful to Northumberland Freemasons for this donation.”

The first chapter of the Widows Sons Masonic Bikers Association was formed 15 years ago and now there are 15 chapters and in excess of 1000 members nationwide.
