Limericks fun for Comic Relief

Newminster Middle School in Morpeth encouraged all of its students and staff to write a humorous limerick for an initiative to help good causes.

A group of Newminster Middle School pupils with a copy of ‘The Lockdown Limericks’ book.

They were sent to Book Printing UK so it could create a book called ‘The Lockdown Limericks’ in advance of Red Nose Day and copies are currently being sold – all profits are going to be donated to Comic Relief.

Charlotte Jones, Newminster Middle School’s curriculum leader of the creative arts, said: “As an Artsmark Platinum school, we wanted to create something to make everyone smile at this difficult time and pull together as a full school community.”
