Nearly New Sale in town is a 'win-win for parents'
Parents in Morpeth and surrounding villages can stock up on some pre-loved baby and children’s items and donate to charity at the same time tomorrow (Saturday).
NCT Mid-Northumberland’s latest Nearly New Sale will take place at New Life Morpeth, Dacre Street, from 11am to 1pm.
Profits from the maternity, baby and children’s clothes, games, books and equipment sold at NCT sales go back to the local branch so it can continue its work supporting new and expectant parents in the area.
Catherine Pemberton, Mid-Northumberland NCT branch co-ordinator, said: “Coming to a Nearly New Sale is a win-win for parents as they benefit from buying top-quality pre-loved baby clothes and equipment, as well as helping to fund the branch’s services for other mums, dads and carers too.
“This means we can run groups such as our monthly Bumps and Babies and Babies Who Brunch sessions – where local parents get together, support each other, meet our volunteers and exchange helpful tips.
“Socialising in this way can be really beneficial by reducing the social isolation some new parents feel and helping them become more confident mothers and fathers.
“In addition, families with baby and children’s items they no longer need can recycle them through the sale, cutting down on landfill waste.”
Nearly New Sales are open to everyone. For more information about the one on Saturday, sponsored by The Nursery at Whitehouse Farm, email NNS.MidNorthumberland@nct.org.uk
