There’s a spook-tacular day in store at Carlisle Park in Morpeth next week.

The park is the venue for a Hallowe’en event with pumpkin carving, creepy crafts and a wild winter scavenger walk to discover seasonal plant life.

Morpeth Tennis Club will be hosting terrifying tennis taster sessions for children and adults, and water lovers can try their hand at canoeing on the river in petrifying paddle sports.

Visitors are encouraged to don their spookiest outfits and there will be prizes for the best.

The event, organised with Active Northumberland and Northumberland County Council, takes place on Friday, October 30, from 1pm to 4pm, meeting at the bowling pavilion.

Places are limited and priced at £1 per child. Book by emailing emma.evans@northumberland.gov.uk or ring 01670 623509.
