Planning bids submitted to county council


The following planning applications have been submitted to Northumberland County Council.

Belsay: Mr Lee Wall, English Heritage Estate Office, Belsay Hall, installation of a boiler flue pipe into slated roof and removal of existing boiler flue in chimney stack.

Cresswell: Mr Joseph Fordsham, Cresswell Home Farm, listed building consent – widen gateway south of plant room to 3,800mm, fit two flues to roof of plant room for biomass boilers, fit external lights to all external doors of dwellings (units 1-10) and fit alarm bell boxes to units 1-10 at eaves level.

Ellington and Linton: Mr Keith Arkle and Mr Matthew Patten, land at 9 and 11 Wansbeck Close, Ellington, change of use from open space to private garden.

Morpeth: Mr Kaptan Miah, Morpeth Tandoori (takeaway), 10 Chantry Place, proposed installation of external extraction ductwork to rear.

Pegswood: Mr Carl Sanders, land south west of Bothal Allotments, change of use of land to the west of existing waste transfer station to provide additional parking for cars and wagons, the construction of screening mounds and construction of a building for maintenance of plant and machinery.

Ponteland: Mr Tim Anderson, land north of Delaware House, The Avenue, Medburn, outline application for the construction of two detached dwellings – all matters reserved except for access; Mr F. Foster, 30 Errington Road, Darras Hall, proposed single storey rear extension, bedroom over existing garage and front boundary wall; Mr Michael Muxworthy, 236 Western Way, Darras Hall, proposed extension and alterations to dwelling, incorporating double garage and first floor loft accommodation, extension to the rear and side and lifting of the ridge and eaves height; Mr Nigel Brown, 111 Darras Road, Darras Hall, single storey garage extension to front; Mr Akhtar Mamood Zahid, 109A Darras Road, Darras Hall, single storey rear extension and internal alterations; Mr Kamran Hyder, 241 Darras Road, Darras Hall, ground and first floor extensions to front, side and rear.

Stannington: Mr David Lynn, land to the rear of 6 Station Road, demolition of garage and barn, re-location of stables and menage plus new horse barn, erection of two dormer bungalows, alterations to access wall and re-location of bus stop on Station Road; Mr Mark Gabriele (Bellway Homes), former St Mary’s Hospital site, proposal for 62 residential dw-ellings (new build village at the north of the masterplan site) and associated access, landscaping and engineering works.

Whalton: Mr G. Bird, works to a tree in a conservation area – fell a Leylandii tree.
