Plans are put to council

THE following planning applications have been submitted to Northumberland County Council.

Longhirst: Mr Robert Thomas, 4 Stable Close, remove conservatory and replace with rear family room.

Matfen: Mr P Moffitt, Vallum Farm, East Wallhouses, construction of WCs within existing building and installation of Portakabin for butcher.

Mitford: C Martin, West High House Farm, agricultural building to house ewes and lambs.

Morpeth: Mr Douglas Smith, 2 East Mill, Whorral Bank, Listed Building Consent, replace wood panel at side of garage with reclaimed bricks and replacement of wood French windows with a sash window; Mr Jimmy Prescott, Morpeth Conservative Club, 41 Newgate Street, removal of 16 timber double-glazed sliding sashes (fitted without consent) and replace with timber single-glazed sliding sashes painted white, existing frames to remain; Mr Paul Nichols, Shooters Bar, 43-45 Bridge Street, advertisement consent, one fascia, one hanging sign and one window graphic; also new shop front, ramp to rear, drop kerb to rear in line with ramp, raise flat roof by 1m so that it is level with the underside of eaves of asbestos-covered roof, double door to rear on other side of rear elevation; also Conservation Area Consent, demolish shop front and ramp to rear.

Ponteland: Mr J Lumsden, 33 Woodlands, Darras Hall, raise roof over garage to form en-suite and store room; Ladbrokes Plc, 38 Merton Road, retrospective application for the installation of one air-conditioning unit to the rear of the betting office.

Stannington: Ian Jones, land south east of Woodside Cottage, Tranwell Woods, erect 20kv overhead line with three conductors and removal of existing overhead line on completion.
