THE following planning applications have been submitted to Northumberland County Council.

Acklington: Mr and Mrs J Coombes, Brainshaugh Farm, Brainshaugh, creation of two holiday cottages to existing farm steading.

Cresswell: Mr N Thompson, Golden Sands Holiday Park, variation of condition 2, 4, 5 and 13 of 05/D/665 to allow minor material amendment (revised details of leisure hub and associated parking).

Longhorsley: Mrs Anita Brannan, Meadow View, single-storey extension to form garden room.

Matfen: Mr and Mrs G Dunn, Fenwick Shield, Fenwick, demolition of conservatory and construction of garden room and construction of two dormer windows.

Mitford: Mr R Lutman, Dakota, Tranwell Woods, Tree Preservation Order, crown lift and removal of deadwood of various trees; Mr A Lutman, The Whinting, Tranwell Woods, Tree Preservation Order, fell one birch; Mr Paul Hobson, Juniper, Gubeon Wood, Tranwell Woods, two new detached five-bed dwellings with detached double garages.

Morpeth: Mr and Mrs David and Fiona Hunt, 47 Mitford Road, construction of extensions; Mr Warne, Glencroft, Fulbeck, Tree Preservation Order, fell five aspen; Mr Andrew Pearson, Clifton Engineering, 16A Coopies Haugh, factory extension with associated parking; Mrs M Bolton, 19 Castle Close, High Church, non-material amendment to application 13/02569/FUL (rear and side ground-floor extension to provide a larger living area, new kitchen and shower room); Mr Peter Dodds, 14 Park Drive, Deuchar Park, construction of new roof with rooms in roof space and dormer windows; Mr Gavin Breeze, 43 The Turn, Loansdean, extension over garage to provide bedroom with en-suite (as previous approval CM/20110002).

Ponteland: Mr Angela Renwick, 78 Cheviot View, first-floor extension over garage and ground-floor extension to rear and associated works.

Stannington: Mr Christopher Bird, land north of St Mary’s Hospital, St Mary’s Lane, St Mary’s Park, variation to condition 2 (approved plans) from approval 11/02980/FUL; Banks Mining, land south west of South Shotton Farm, Shotton Lane, extension of operational surface coal mine by 26 hectares to extract an additional 290,000 tonnes of coal, 35,000 tonnes of fireclay and 15,000 tonnes of sandstone; Mr Keverne Watt, Horton Grange Hotel, Berwick Hill Road, Seaton Burn, Listed Building Consent for removal of identified window arrangement, subsequent stone sills and stone bricks below, new door opening in replacement of the window, new window arrangement above door, timber decking to extend to the edge of new door position and new external steps to lead from the decking to ground-floor level and landscaping.
