Two events will be taking place at Red Row Brick Club to raise funds for the Sick Children’s Trust.

Ashleigh Duke has been organising the activities in support of family friends who live elsewhere in the North East. Their nine-month-old baby, Missi Mae, is in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle and they have been staying at the charity’s Scott House facility.

The afternoon fun on Saturday, April 21, from noon to 4pm includes game stalls, face-painting, stalls selling a range of items, a tombola for adults and children and a raffle. Entry is free.

The evening event starts at 7.30pm and it will feature live music. In addition, the winning raffle tickets will be drawn and there will be domino cards and football cards.

It is £5 a ticket for this event – they are available from Hadston Newsagents or Red Row Brick Club.

Ashleigh said she is grateful to Brittany Simpson, Missi’s aunt, for her support, the club for providing its premises without charge and The Range – a rock and indie covers band – for agreeing to play for free.
