Plethora of plants and open space to explore

Following a hugely successful garden opening in 2013, Ron and Louise Bowey will again be opening their impressive 15 acres of landscaped gardens, woodlands and open space to the public.

And this time the family, whose Coldcotes Moor Farm home is located off the A696 close to Ponteland, will be inviting visitors to enjoy a fun afternoon exploring the gardens and grounds as part of the National Gardens Scheme, which supports nursing/caring charities.

Since the last open-garden event, Mr Bowey has expanded the variety of garden rooms within the grounds. A new area of ornamental planting, vegetables and roses is now part of the original orchard.

You can visit between 1pm and 5pm on Sunday – entry is £4 for adults and free for children. There will also be a cake stall, tea tent, treasure trail and children’s play area.
