Earlier this month, Northumbria Police officers brought along police dogs and the police horses.

The horses were impeccably behaved and the dogs and puppy loved the attention of the children.

The purpose of the visit was to highlight their role in helping to tackle crime in the area and to help the children feel comfortable and at ease in their presence.

Manager Julie Summerscales thanked PC Julia Wright, PC Joanne Watson, PC Adam Fegan and Inspector Gary Jones for arranging the visit with the nursery.
