COMMUNITY projects across Northumberland are celebrating a lottery windfall.
Morpeth’s Chantry Middle School & Technology College has picked up almost £10,000 from the Big Lottery Fund to help create a wildlife and sensory garden to provide a new outdoor learning environment.
And Ponteland Under Fives Playgroup has received a £1,000 grant to buy extra equipment for a new holiday playscheme, suitable for children aged between two and 11-years-old.
Also benefiting from the fund is Northumberland-based Equorum, which has secured £8,994 to offer experimental learning in the form of fishing, falconry and equine activities.
The programme has been developed for young people with learning disabilities and behavioural problems.
