Pub cycling event is set to bigger and better
A cycling event is back for the second year in a row at a north Northumberland pub and is set to be bigger and better than ever.
St Mary’s Cycling Day is back and will once again take place from St Mary’s Inn, Stannington, on Saturday.
As with last year, St Mary’s Inn has developed two different routes, one is a distance of 15km and the other 25km.
However, as organisers wish to attract more families and novice cyclists, they have introduced a third, shorter route of 6km.
There will be an outside bar, medals for all kids taking part, free coffee and cake.
There is no need to register, just meet at St Mary’s at 12.30pm for a 1pm start.
St Mary’s Inn has regular Sunday rides with routes available to cater for all abilities. It also runs a cycling group on Strava where keen cyclists can become members and be notified of forthcoming cycling events. For more information, visit www.strava.com/clubs/StMarysInnVelo
