People are being encouraged to put up specially-made missing posters, as the search for Sally Allan continues.

The 59-year-old from Errington Road, Darras Hall, Ponteland, has not been seen since the early hours of December 26 when she left her home address sometime before 3am. She is described as white, 5ft 7" tall, slim build, with short silver/grey hair and may be wearing gold-rimmed glasses. She was believed to be wearing pink pyjamas, a cream-coloured fleece and cream-coloured Regatta waterproof anorak. It is out of character for Mrs Allan to go missing and her family are worried about her.

As part of the search to find her, a missing poster had been made and people are being encouraged to put up the flyer - which features her photograph - to spread the word as much as possible. You can view the poster, to download or print, by clicking here.

A Search 4 Sally Facebook group has been set up on social-networking site Facebook and her son Clive has made a special video appealing for the public's help to find her. There was also a strong turn out at a group search this morning and award-winning North East comedian Sarah Millican has supported the Search 4 Sally appeal by retweeting a message and missing poster about the search.

Today, a Northumbria Police spokeswoman said that officers are continuing to carry out inquiries to locate Mrs Allan. Officers are appealing for her to make contact with them, or anyone who recognises her to call police straightaway. Anyone with information is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101, quoting log number 258 26/12/15.
