A DRUG and alcohol awareness event is being organised in a Northumberland village.
Parish councillor Shelly Willoughby is working with Northumbria Police to deliver a session in Widdrington Station Community Centre.
She said: “I personally think this is something we have to be aware of. One of the biggest problems is that because we are a little village people think it doesn’t happen here — it does.
“The presentation will make everybody aware of the signs to look for of drug and alcohol misuse, the problems people can have and steps that can be taken to get them the help they want.”
The event may also include postcode marking for children’s bikes.
