Range of planning proposals lodged with county council


The following planning applications have been submitted to Northumberland County Council.

Belsay: Mrs Angela Renwick, Nunhill West Barn, proposed double garage adjacent to existing dwelling.

Heddon on the Wall: Mr T Clark, 12 Campus Martius, single storey rear extension.

Morpeth: Dr Kerry Holmes, 105 Newgate Street, listed building consent application – repairs to the external fabric of the house including re-pointing, stone repairs, roof flashings and fitting of chimney pots, replacement of an internal valley gutter to the rear roof and installation of a new roof window for access for maintenance at roof level; Mr Andrew Gee (Environment Agency), land north of The Garth, Pottery Bank, variation of condition two (approved plans) relating to planning permission 14/00663/FUL – flood storage area comprising an embankment, containing a culvert, across the Cotting Burn; Mr David Jackson, 1 Geantree Cottages, sun room extension and decking to rear; Mr Austin Gorham, land south of Riverside House, Low Stanners, proposed change of use from gas works site to open storage; Ms J Sewell, 7 Long Drive, Loansdean, construction of rear kitchen, dining room and utility room extension and bedroom and bathroom extension above garage.

Ponteland: Mr John Alderson (Northumberland County Council tree officer), land south west of Waitrose, Main Street, trees in a conservation area – reduce height by 2m and side spread by a maximum of 2m each side to one sycamore tree, remove one secondary branch on north side at 4m, reduce height by a maximum of 2m and reduce spread on each side by a maximum of 2m to another sycamore tree, shorten back branch over bridge by a maximum of 2m to one elm tree and remove two secondary branches on west side over bridge to another elm tree; Mr Steven Potter, 2 Rothley Close, garage extension to side/rear;

Stannington: Mr and Mrs Paul Ruscoe, 34 Green Close, proposed single storey rear extension and front porch.

Wallington Demesne: Mr Matthew Banks, Wallington (National Trust estate), listed building consent application – installation of new cables across the site, including new trenching and erection of a new electrical switch room.
