Range of planning proposals lodged with county council

The following planning applications have been submitted to Northumberland County Council.

Planning applications to go before Northumberland County Council.

Hepscott: Mr Derek Johnson, 6 Thornlea, single storey extension to garage including re-roofing garage, two-storey side extension, single storey rear extension and renewal of existing windows and doors together with modifications to existing drainage; Mr Paul Caisley, Westgarth, variation of condition two (approved plans) pursuant to planning permission 15/00910/FUL to allow addition of two dormers, two roof lights and one window with amendments to double garage.

Longhirst: Mr Glen Fahy, Countryside Cottage, build new conservatory/orangery between existing house and existing garage and removal of old conservatory; Mrs Claire Janson, Ferndene Cattery, Ferndene, Ulgham Lane, construction of block of six chalets to match existing.

Longhorsley: Mr Andrew Owen, land west of View Law, construction of a steel framed portal building for general purpose use, including storage of vehicles and straw/hay.

Mitford: Mr Richard Gill, Flat, The Plough Inn, works to protected tree – fell and remove one Ash tree.

Morpeth: Mr Chris Gill, 1 Coningsby Gardens, tree preservation order to fell one Sycamore Acer Pseudoplatanus tree; Mr Stuart Michie, grounds of St James’ Church, Copper Chare, works to trees in a conservation area – fell and remove one Chestnut tree due to presence of honey fungus.

Ponteland: Mr Lee Forshaw, 3 West Thorn Farm, West Thorn, Kirkley, variation of condition two in relation to approved plans following an appeal (planning reference 15/01304/FUL) – proposed addition of dormer windows to enable first floor accommodation; Ponteland Town Council, Meadowfield, advertisement consent for one non-illuminated industrial estate information sign with map and key locating various businesses.

Stannington: Mr John Tuton, 14 Eden Walk, St Mary’s Park, application involves converting current loft space into living accommodation, incorporating roof windows, creating two additional bedrooms with en-suite bathroom and the formation of two balconies over existing roofs following conversion of associated two windows to provide doors.
