PC Phil Jack, neighbourhood beat manager for Wooler, said that he had spoken to a number of young people, ‘many of whom were there, but none knew who had done it, if you know what I mean’.

Hide AdChairman, Coun Robert Donkin, said that the mural, designed and created by some of Wooler’s young people about four years ago, was okay, but a patch of wall in the corner was black – “I don’t think we can do anything about that,” he added.
There had been less activity since, it was reported, but a request will still be made for one of the county council’s redeployable cameras.
