ROADWORKS will be carried out across Northumberland as the annual surface dressing programme gets into gear.
Around 32 miles of carriageway in 30 different locations will benefit from repairs between May and August.
Roads affected include the A196 Dunces Houses to Shadfen, the B6343 Morpeth to Mitford, the B6345 Cheevley to Acklington Station and the B1330 Togston to Red Row.
There will also be work on the B6318 Harlow Hill to Rudchester, the C155 Bolam to Meldon and the C348 Western Way, Darras Hall.
Work on most sites is expected to be done in a day, but larger schemes may take longer. Advance warning signs will be in place several days before work begins.
Minor delays are expected and drivers should follow the advisory speed limits until essential sweeping has been completed.
