Roarsome weekend set for Whitehouse Farm Centre
Visitors to Whitehouse Farm may get more than they bargained for this weekend when Jurrasic Farm heads into town.
The resident sheep, emus, pigs and rabbits will be towered over by a roar-some 8-foot tall by 18-foot long Tyrannosaurus called “Rex”.
This unique experience will allow people to get up close and personal like never before to this prehistoric creature that once roamed the Earth over 65 million years ago. When mobile phones were just a mere twinkle in a caveman’s eye. But plenty of selfie opportunities will be on offer throughout the weekend.
It promises to be educational, exciting and eerie as Rex is an exact replica of what an infant Tyrannosaurus Rex would look like aged nine years old. Witnessing the mechanical menace will be like seeing the king of the dinosaurs actually in the flesh as it hunts the Northumberland undergrowth for food. Don’t worry all of the Farm’s cuddly friends and critters will be safe from harm.
“Whitehouse Farm is definitely not the land that time forgot as we prepare for another action-packed weekend of fun and entertainment,” said Dawn Peters, Events Coordinator at Whitehouse Farm Centre.
A meet and greet with a difference won’t be the only event for visitors. They will also be able to enjoy a long list of activities including create your own fossils, design a Dino competition, party games, fossil excavating, magic shows, glitter tattoos (£1 charge) and the Animaltastic Gameshow. You can even grab the ultimate souvenir by posing in the special Dino photo booth.
If this wasn’t enough there will be a prehistoric inspired performance as people, young and old will be invited to join Dino Dave and Dino Daisy to help stop the evil plans of Dr Extinction to wipe dinosaurs off the face of the planet, forever.
Jurassic Farm will take place on Saturday and Sunday during openeing hours which are 10am to 5pm.
