The following planning applications have been submitted to Northumberland County Council.

Ellington and Linton: Mr Peter McCormack, land south of dismantled railway, Ashington Road, Ellington, outline application for bungalow.

Heddon On The Wall: Mrs A Cairns, 3 Close Lea, erection of stable block and external concrete washer pad.

Longhirst: Mr John Barnes, 26 Straker Terrace, Longhirst Colliery, sunroom to rear.

Mitford: Mr Uppal, Site 3, Kylemore House, Tranwell Woods, reserved matters for outline permission for one dwelling; Northumbrian Water, former Mitford Water Treatment Works, residential development with access.

Morpeth: The Homes and Communities Agency and Linden Ltd, St George’s Hospital, full permission for demolition of hospital buildings and development of 119 dwellings with access, landscaping, public open space, parking, infrastructure and engineering works (Phase A), outline permission for phased re-development for up to 256 dwellings, including change of use of administration block to residential and assembly and leisure use, with public open space (Phase B and C).

Netherwitton: Mr David Ronn, land east of Witton Shield House, Pigdon, removal of condition 7 of permission (outline consent for demolition of outbuilding and construction of ancillary accommodation to that of the main house).

Ponteland: Mr Kevin Laing, Delicafe, 13 Broadway, change of use from cafe/deli to pizza cafe providing pizza, salad, sandwiches and cakes, with extraction/odour control system to rear; Mr Nick Beckwith, 114 Middle Drive, two storey rear extension incorporating kitchen, family area and WC to ground floor, with two bedrooms to first floor.

Stannington: Mrs Beatrice Brindley, Sewage Works, Stannington, non-material amendment to permission 13/03472/FUL (upgrade drainage for St Mary’s Hospital housing development, works include construction of control kiosk to house electrical equipment, erection of telemetry communication mast, 6m high within the compound of existing works, a crossing of the Duddo Burn and a new outfall headwall adjacent, and a turning head, the works will be abandoned by NWL after the new pumping station is commissioned), amendment is to increase width of control kiosk from 2m to 2.6m to accompany changes in Northern Powergrid’s requirements.

Tritlington and West Chevington: Mr David Mahoney, West Chevington Farm, internal and external refurbishment of Grade 2 listed farmhouse, installation of new central heating system and bathroom and kitchen fittings, provision of new dpc and drainage system; also Listed Building Consent.

Mr Jonathon Barber, North Byre, Tritlington Demesne, non-material amendment to permission 14/01465/FUL (single storey rear house extension), amendment to move extension 2.3m towards north, add extra window to west, change door to window on north and change render walls to stone.
