School raises hundreds of pounds for good cause
Josh Miller, deputy head boy at King Edward VI School in Morpeth, recently handed over a cheque for £560 to Amy Granger, volunteer for Meningitis Now, following a non-uniform day.
Each year group chooses a charity to support for the school year and a variety of fund-raising activities have taken place since September.
Josh and his fellow senior students – head boy Scott Martin, head girl Georgina Eaton and deputy head girl Alexandra Willis – were recently elected. Part of their role is to help co-ordinate these activities.
Meningitis Now funds research, provides a range of support and works to raise the public’s awareness of the disease.
