Seeking council consent for development plans

THE following planning applications have been submitted to Northumberland County Council.

Cresswell: Mr Michael Goonan, Sanston House, Cresswell Road, acer pseudoplatanus S1 and S7, fell and replant with over a dozen young 1+1 transplants, all native species including betula pendula, fagus sylvatica and tilia spp.

Hepscott: Mr John Molloy, South Lodge, South Lodge Wood, Tree Preservation Order, T1 araucaria araucana, large percentage of crown has died, fell, remove and replant.

Longhirst: Mr Hamilton, land south of 23 Micklewood Close, Trees in a Conservation Area, reduce branches by approximately 5m to six pine trees.

Matfen: Mr and Mrs Paul Naughton, The Annex, South Fens Farm, Stamfordham, amendment to application 13/00995/FUL, change the approved external wall materials from random stone to render.

Morpeth: Ms M Smith, Flood Alleviation Scheme areas along the River Wansbeck, Oldgate, screening opinion for proposed surface water drainage, Morpeth town; Dr Henry Woodford, Lansdown House, 90 Newgate Street, Listed Building Consent, renovate bathroom and create an additional one by adding two stud walls, re-plaster area of damaged plaster in hallway, install downstairs toilet in already plumbed area below the stairs; Mr D Wilson, 29 Churchburn Drive, Loansdean, remove existing and fit new garage doors and frame.

Pegswood: Miss Julie Stephenson, Cookswell Garage, change of use from residential to business.

Ponteland: Mr Nigel Good, 20 Pinegarth, Darras Hall, non-material amendment relating to permission 13/01559/FUL (construction of two storey extensions to front and rear plus internal alterations to dormer bungalow), amendment relates to construction of entrance porch, extending the sloping pitched roof together with cantilevering the roof over the garage; Mr and Mrs Bewick, Garden Cottage, Callerton Lane, variation of condition 11 of application 95/D/318, erection of detached bungalow and detached garage in garden to rear of Mayfair House, condition 11 the coniferous hedge along the east boundary shall be maintained in perpetuity at between 3.4m and 3.75m in height, including new planting which is introduced; Mr and Mrs Giles Holliday, 16 Westsyde, proposed extension to single garage to form double garage and new gate with piers; Mr Adam Ciura, 1 The Green, proposed garage and driveway; Mr Roy Peters, Squirrel Haven, Medburn, proposed domestic alterations, including new 2m high boundary fence and entrance gates, garden room to rear and new porch to front, minor material amendments to exterior.

Stannington: Rivergreen Development, Former Administration Building, St Mary’s Hospital development site, amendment to CM/20100269, conversion of the former Administration Building into gastro pub and provision of guest accommodation on the first floor; Mr Rice, The Farmhouse, West Duddo, construction of first floor bedroom and two en-suites to rear.
