Last Friday I travelled on the 4.53pm Arriva bus, number 35, from Station Road, Ashington, to Morpeth.
Less than two hours later, one of our Community Police Support Officers called at my home to give me my wallet, which I hadn’t missed, that had been found by the driver of the bus, or perhaps another passenger, and immediately handed in to the Morpeth police office.
May I express my sincere thanks to those who found and returned it to me so promptly.
Excellent public service indeed.
