Songs, sketches and jokes old and new
Alnmouth Show attracted a packed house on both nights, bringing in a huge boost for the Hindmarsh Hall refubishment fund.
Children from Hipsburn School singing songs from the First World War got the show off to a lively start.

Hide AdThe pupils had been practising for the previous few weeks and appeared on stage in period costume.
Other items in the programme included sets from Alnwick Ukulele Riff-Raff, flamenco guitarist Cliff Blakey and flautist Laura Murphy, as well as an extended turn from talented duo Josie McDonagh and Phil Smith.
Songs from Len Reece and Ian MacKarill, a jocular rendition of the Highway Code from the Alnmouth Friars and a series of comedy sketches featuring the collective talents of John Ward, John Gregson, Mary Hollins, Robin Winder, Simon Rushden and Andrew Baxter all contributed to an evening that provided a wide variety of entertainment.
A dedicated team of helpers, led by show director Jonathon Webb, made the whole thing possible and thoughts are already turning to 2019.
