Strategy by students to help Morpeth business group
Morpeth and District Chamber of Trade has sought advice from business leaders of tomorrow to get their thoughts on how best to market the town.
Emerging talent from the Business Clinic at Northumbria University were approached by the organisation to put together a marketing and events strategy.
The clinic model involves groups of final year business students forming a ‘consultancy firm’ to provide free advice to clients. They are asked to analyse the subject they are presented with, consider possible ideas and solutions and provide a detailed report and full presentation of their recommendations.
“We approached the Business Clinic to see if the business leaders of tomorrow could devise a marketing and events strategy to better support trade and tourism in the town – they did not disappoint.
“They have been extremely thorough in their research and the strategy that they have produced is excellent and deliverable. It encompasses digital marketing to drive engagement between the local community, visitors and retailers.”
