Stunning river image wins competition

McCarthy and Stone, which has the William Turner Court, retirement living development in Morpeth next to the Telford Bridge, invited budding photographers of all ages and abilities to enter its riverside views competition.

Kevin Lowes, 43, has been announced as the winner for this stunning image of the River Wansbeck.

This was the first photography competition that the Pegswood resident had entered, so he will use the £300 prize money to purchase new photography equipment.

The judging took place with the help of Morpeth Mayor Jack Gebhard, McCarthy and Stone’s marketing manager Sharon Gill and others.

Kevin’s work will be displayed inside William Turner Court for homeowners and guests to enjoy.
