A pupil at Newminster Middle School and Technology College in Morpeth enjoyed a special visit from Santa before the end of term.
Iona, aged 10, was the winner of the BMW Stratstone Tyneside Christmas Art competition that it hosted with Sanderson Arcade.
As part of the prize, her drawing of ‘My Idea of a Perfect Christmas’ – which included the message that the festive period is a time for the world to have peace – was professionally printed on a BMW X1.
As well as a selection of chocolates and Christmas gifts, which were presented to Iona, her family were also given use of the beautifully decorated car over the Christmas weekend courtesy of Stratstone Tyneside BMW.
Santa also gave out some BMW Chocolate lollipops to Newminster pupils during his visit.
Dang Vuong from Stratstone Tyneside BMW said: “The entries (more than 370 in total) were extremely creative – it was certainly a tough decision to select one winner.
“It was truly inspiring to see so many good drawings.”
