A council-backed energy switching scheme is open for another round of registrations.
The Ready To Switch programme began in November 2011 and has so far seen more than 10,000 Northumberland residents sign up to receive electricity and gas contract offers.
The scheme works by collective purchasing, with those in Northumberland joining communities across the country as a single buying unit to negotiate cheaper deals.
In the last round, 98 per cent of those registered could make a saving, and across the UK 15,717 customers saved an average of £283 per switching household.
Now residents, along with small and medium sized enterprises, have another chance to register, with no obligation to switch suppliers.
Visit www.northumberland.gov.uk and search for Ready To Switch, call 0845 600 6400, or visit a council information centre. People will need details of their energy consumption and tariff, which can be found on an energy bill. Registration is open until May 18.
