WALKERS have been urged to step out for charity in a fund-raising coastal trail.
Coast Along for Water Aid aims to get at least one team of walkers on 240 coastal paths throughout the UK to raise money for the provision of safe water, sanitation and hygiene education for people living in poverty in Africa and Asia.
Included in the walks is the Northumbrian Coast Path, which has been split into sections between Cresswell and Berwick.
Walkers can choose their section, ranging from eight to 13 miles, and the event also offers them the chance to win £100 of vouchers for outdoor clothing and equipment company Kathmandu by taking the best scenic, team or creative photograph.
Registration for the walk closes tomorrow and the event takes place on Saturday.
