Take the plunge for charity

THRILL-seekers can plunge 10,000ft out of a plane in an NSPCC charity challenge.

The children’s charity is looking for daredevil supporters to sign up for a sponsored skydive this autumn.

Solo or tandem jumps are available at 20 different sites across the UK, including in the north east.

Anyone over the age of 16 and in general good health should be able to make a jump.

No experience is necessary as full training will be given by a qualified instructor. There will also be fund-raising support available and a certificate upon completion of the parachute jump.

The training and jump will be free for anyone raising at least £395 in sponsorship.

The money raised will be used to support NSPCC frontline staff and its national helplines, ChildLine for young people and the NSPCC Helpline for concerned adults to call.
