A PONTELAND teenager has secured her place in the final of the Miss Northumberland 2012 competition.
Tamlyn Nadine Smith came through the second heat of the beauty and personality contest, which was staged at Blackmore’s of Alnwick on Tuesday.
The 17-year-old equestrian enthusiast made it through on the night alongside heat winner Stephanie Grieve, 17, from Alnwick, and 21-year-old Michaela Woodhead from Blyth.
The trio can now look forward to the June 29 final, at Newton Hall, Newton-by-the-Sea.
And there is still time to enter the county contest, with the next heat taking place at The Black Swan, Alnwick, on Wednesday from 8pm.
It is open to girls aged 17 to 24 (by April 2013) and hopefuls can enter on the night.
