Golf Tech is an innovative new golf training centre, with a computer system that helps golfers practise and improve on all aspects of their game.

The system provides 16 real courses for golfers to choose from, then measures and tracks the ball, recording how fast it is going, the direction it is travelling and the speed of the clubs, as well as a multitude of other aspects.

It means that golfers can play a virtual game without having to set foot onto a golf course and battle the elements in winter.

Golf Tech has been set up at Pegswood Industrial Estate by a consortium of local businessmen who wanted to provide something more for the golfers of the community.

One of those involved in the project, who did not wish to be named, said: “There is an absolute mountain of stuff that you can do with the system.

“We have been up and running a month now and we have had really good reviews.

“We researched it all and found a company from Birmingham that sells the equipment to all the professional shops, and even some golfers.

“It gives golfers the chance to check every club in their bag ”

Anyone who wants to use the equipment can book it online in advance and the centre will be opened up for them.

There will also be someone at hand to give advice if it is required.

You can find out more about the business and book a session online at www.golftech17.co.uk

Golfers can keep up to date with Golf Tech on its Facebook page.
