USEFUL hints and tips will be given out at a Ponteland venue when the North East of England Group of the Alpine Garden Society holds its next meeting.
Diane Clements, who has been growing alpine plants for more than 16 years in her shady Midlands garden, is the guest speaker.
She is a keen member of the Alpine Garden Society, regularly exhibits her plants and is also a judge and show reporter.
The talk will include a detailed look at both genera with lots of practical information about how to grow them from seed, cultural details, re-potting and round-the-year care.
The meeting will take place on Monday in St Mary’s Church Hall, Thornhill Road, from 7.30pm. Entry for visitors is £2.
