The annual landlords' forum is being held in Morpeth.

The free event, in its eighth year, will be held at Morpeth Rugby Club on Thursday, October 11, from 9.30am.

It aims to update landlords on new legislation, highlight any industry issues and demonstrate the services on offer from the council.

Representatives from the Department for Work and Pensions and National Landlords Association will address the forum on a range of subjects.

There will also be a number of traders exhibiting – including Northumbrian Water, Jacksons Law and the National Farmers’ Union.

Coun John Riddle, cabinet member for planning, housing and resilience at Northumberland County Council, said: “In previous years, this forum has attracted hundreds of landlords and agents from across the county and we are hoping that this year’s event will be as successful.

“There are a number of services the council can offer to private landlords that are intended to support them in their role as a housing provider, whilst also seeking to encourage high standards of tenancy management and housing standards.

“The forum will not only help to demonstrate what we can do, but also give landlords an opportunity to network and find out about upcoming industry issues.”

Any landlord or agent wishing to attend should register their interest by emailing with your name and address or calling the team on 01670 622299.
