A HARD-WORKING motors manager is accelerating up the career ladder with a new promotion.
Peter Candlish has been appointed Aftersales Manager at Davidsons of Morpeth after 34 years in the industry.
He joined the company 15 years ago as a technician and within six months had progressed to Workshop Foreman.
He then moved up to take the position of Service Advisor, which he held for five years before landing the role of Service Manager, in which he has served for the past eight years.
Now he will take full responsibility for the aftersales division, including the service and parts department.
Mr Candlish said: “I’m delighted to be appointed Aftersales Manager and to be given the opportunity to help implement the exciting plans Vauxhall has in store for 2012.
“I’ve always been a motoring enthusiast and Davidson’s of Morpeth has given me invaluable experience within the industry.
“Now is a very interesting time to be working on the brand and I’m looking forward to helping drive Davidsons’ success and continuing to build on the company’s offering to local customers, both existing and new.”
Managing Director Faye Davidson said: “It gives me great pleasure to promote Peter, who has been a fantastic asset to the business for many years.
“With his wide range of experience in the automotive industry, he has played a vital part in growing our business and I look forward to seeing Peter carry on his exceptional work for many more years to come.”
